Here's a collection of pictures of Take My Hand, a project I did for a Quilting Arts Magazine challenge. The project had to be either a box or a reliquary , and be no larger than a shoebox nor smaller than a matchbox. Mine consisted of a cover and three panels inside. The panels unfold to make a triptych. The piece celebrates the importance of hands. Most of the hands are "Hands of Fatima", a North African (Berber, Tuareg) symbol of protection, hence the mosaic tile motif and colors of the panels. The central image in the center panel is indeed a smaller version of my hand.
I have made the pictures smaller so they won't take so long to download. Most of them are about 50k bytes. After viewing each of them, just hit your "back" key to return here. ENJOY.
