The Sun Sets on Sunbonnet Sue
This somewhat notorious quilt is now in a museum at Michigan State University. Several decades ago (it seems odd to be talking of time in that quantity) a bunch of quilters and one hippie embroiderer(guess who?) in Lawrence, Kansas got together and produced this quilt. Obviously it was our way of commenting on all the cutsie Sunbonnet Sue quilts. The quilt shows 20 different ways that Sue might meet her demise.
I did 2 of the squares: (1) Sunbonnet Soup (boiling in the kettle) and (2) Lost in Space.
