Bayeux Tapestry
This was part of my City and Guilds requirements. We were to faithfully reproduce part of the original tapestry. I selected this scene because it seemed to tell a story. There seemed to be a connection to a woman named Emma, which was the name of my grandmother who taught me to embroider. I also loved the columns. The fabric was tea dyed and executed in laid stitch, couching and backstitch.
